Without going into the plot, which is more than adequately in other places here, I will briefly summarize why I believe that the two main Gattaca messages are important. I even suggest that this DivX Movie Gattaca would be an excellent view of ethics and high school English class, with the themes of the film: Gattaca gives a lot of fodder for discussion in class. Without doubt, a point, of course, is how the current direction of genetic science might be leading us dangerously close to a new form of discrimination, a society of genetic haves and have not's. Research in genetics and will yield invaluable tool in fields such as medicine and criminology, the benefit of all mankind. Like any science, however, can have a dark side when the possible result of their abuse is not considered carefully. Perhaps most important, however, another message Gattaca that exists in the here and now of our lives, and not a potential future. This is a message of inspiration for those who believe that ordinary were not sufficiently equipped to achieve a goal, and a warning for the gifted, even for them, we can not rest easily and achievement have surrendered to them. Like the fable of the tortoise and the rabbit, the victory goes to the one with the determination and unity. Not worth listening to music where they are never without years of practice, regardless of how, of course, music can reach them. This could apply to almost anything, and I think that is where it really shines Gattaca.
Andrew Niccol "Gattaca" is a strange science fiction film: Gattaca with an aesthetic that lies somewhere between the 'Star Trek', and Stephen Polliakof. This only rises above the likes of 'The Matrix', but also shares some features with a typical Polliakof film: a slow pace, the massive use of classical music and self-gravity portentious important not completely supported by the strength thinking. The result is elegant, but the camp sites and ridiculously corny. It is also guilty of undermining its own fundamental opposing ideas by a future of genetic determination with an appeal to meritocracy, as if the danger is not in the power of the elite, but is limited to the risk of which formed the elite is wrong - the gene as an enemy of the American dream. Pointing to a larger failure - "Gattaca" serves as a warning letter about the future, while the best science fiction that makes it difficult with the current. Some nice loopy cast, Gore Vidal plays himself, Jude Law plays a 1950 English public school, Ethan Hawke plays an American hero and Uma Thurman plays an alien masquerading as a stiff-necked goose. However, this review is probably too hard, "Gattaca" is not really bad, in fact, is a bold and distinctive, but as the stretch marks show that satisfy both strains of art-house multiplex. Worth seeing once.
It is unfortunate that he did not Gattaca well at the box office in 1997. However, it has become a kind of cult DVD movie Gattaca and people are beginning to rediscover video and DVD. I think we may have something to do with the recent innovations in genetic engineering and the success of the three main leads. The first half of the DVD film Gattaca is very intense and suspenseful, as well as a canvas for many ideas about identity, social class and elitism, fate and destiny and control. Ethan Hawke does a great job in fraudulent Vincent, Jude Law and is taken as the entertaing ladder. See this movie: Gattaca if you feel as thought after the DVD film Gattaca and the DivX film Gattaca has little action. I think this DivX film Gattaca will become a classic of science fiction in the coming years and dumb as exaggerated Sci Fi aspiring Armageddon and the mission to Mars have been forgotten.
